Kaobon Team
Ju Jitsu
Koabon Camp Ju Jitsu was formed in June 2007 by Susan King and Adam Lindop
Our main aim is:
To Increase the knowledge and understanding of our students of all types and forms of Ju Jitsu, we do this by:-
-
The use of training drills to allow maximum repetition of techniques and use of body dynamics
-
Allowing application of techniques and principles of body motion and dynamics through sparring and ground fighting
-
Encouraging students to work together to better understand techniques
-
Attendance on courses that students are encouraged to attend in order to allow them to understand not only Ju Jitsu but also other systems of martial art
Training at the club is carried out in a very relaxed and friendly manner, but in a way that encourages students to adhere to the etiquette that is an integral part of the art of Ju Jitsu.
At Kaobon Ju Jitsu we have a strong fitness ethic that encompasses aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility, but recognise that we are not all at the same level of fitness and so we allow the student to develop their fitness at a gradual rate.

ABOUT JU-JITSU
Ju-Jitsu is one of the oldest martial arts in existence, when translated the name means “gentle art” or” the art of pliancy”. The first recorded styles of Ju-Jitsu can be traced back to the seventh century although its history is certainly older than this. Incorporating holds, throws joint lock sand devastating blows to disable or weaken an opponent Ju-Jitsu is a complete art.
In its true original form, Ju-Jitsu has no sporting element, does not impose rules on its practitioners who are know as Ju-jistsuka, and it's a very direct and aggressive martial art which forms the basis of many other systems suck as Aikido, Judo and some styles of Karate. The main goal in Ju-Jitsu practice is to cultivate a person's mind and body: not to use it as a means to vent one's anger, frustration or emotional problems. The use of force is condoned only in self-defence or in the defence of those who are defenceless
